PSI go live with the latest version of CAPITAL
The PSI Group based in Newcastle and third party
administrator to the Nationwide Superannuation Fund, in conjunction
with SyncSoft has been working over the past seven months to implement
the latest version of SyncSoft's CAPITAL package. In addition to converting their large membership the
implementation which went live 1st July 2005, provides PSI with
Straight Through Processing (STP), Integrated Imaging and Workflow
and Automated Letter Generation for all member and employer output using the
new Expression Builder utility and links with CAPITAL's new workflow
engine. PSI is the first SyncSoft client to utilise both the
Expression Builder and Workflow initiatives. The Nationwide Super Fund is a public offer
multi industry fund. The implementation included the data
migration of 200,000 members from PSI's in-house administration system.
Paul Kolatchew, CEO PSI said, "the CAPITAL implementation provides
PSI with the latest superannuation administration capability and will allow
us to provide industry best practice member services". V6.4.1 Highlights
Integrated Workflow and Imaging - CAPITAL's basic
workflow facility has now evolved to the point where it offers a complete and
flexible solution. CAPITAL can act as the hub for all interaction with the
three main components: Image Capture, Image Storage, and Workflow Control. For further information, see the
Documentation page in the Client Area of our web site or speak to
your Account Manager. CAPITAL Business Objects (CBO's) exposes CAPITAL's
existing business processes in a programmer-friendly way to a clients' Web
User Interface (.NET/Java) or other third part applications. Regardless
of the access method utilised, CBO's ensure that the same set of business
rules are utilised reducing the cost of maintenance and support significantly
as only one set of programs, rules and formulae are required. Regression - CAPITAL Version 6.4.1 includes integration
with the Rational Robot Regression testing tool. Multi-Session Client - End Users can now have up to 5 Client
sessions open at once, providing the ability to switch between tasks without
losing their place. A typical use
would be to process a Member enquiry while in the middle of a complex
transaction. Multi-Lingual Capability - The
multi-lingual features of CAPITAL have been redesigned, employing a tool
called Easy*NLS that provides a seamless translation facility at
runtime. This capability has initially
been applied to the Client and Job sub-systems. CTL Debugger - The long awaited developer tool is
here! Our new CTL Debugger removes the
need for the old SysDebug() calls that were the bane of every CTL
Developer. CTL Debugger includes the
ability to step through your CTL business code and view variables, globals,
and XML content, vastly increasing the speed of problem resolution. Multi-Environment Build facility and other developer
improvements - The Multi-Environment Build facility
improves deployment of CAPITAL business code to multiple CAPITAL
environments, by allowing multiple sequential CTL builds to be
initiated via a single interface. We have also upgraded the version
of Microsoft's VC Compiler from Version 6 to Version 7, which will result in
more efficient runtime business code. Additionally, we have added the ability
to utilise the Incremental Linking feature of the compiler, which results in
improved Build times for non-Prepare Make builds. New Product & Expression Builder for Package - Product
and Expression Builder allow business users, rather than programmers
to: Ø
Create New Business Products Ø
Manage Product Configuration Ø
Copy Whole Business Products Ø
Create Standard Letters Ø
Create and modify Workflows in CAPITAL's new
Workflow System Ø
